What's included: 5-count dry clay mix (0.5 lbs)

Directions:

1. Add 1/2 to 3/4 cup of water to the bag (start with 1/2 and add slowly until you reach toothpaste consistency)
2. Seal the zipper and agitate thoroughly — should reach a thick consistency
3. Cut the bag along the corner to make a makeshift piping bag
4. Evenly distribute clay into each of your 5 cups, spreading with a gloved hand or tool (wooden shim)
5. Seed the culture by adding adult springtails from another culture (no eggs in the clay)

Maintenance:

• Keep cultures moist by spraying lightly until clay glistens (about once every 1–2 weeks based on thickness)
• Feed springtails a small pinch of food each week

Best for: dart frog keepers, tarantula keepers, and anyone running bioactive vivariums that need a steady cleanup crew supply.
