This rarely offered Avic is a show stopper! Formerly known as ‘amazonica’ this species is rarely offered in imports and even extremely rare captive born! They originate from Brazil and Venezuela.
This avic is sexually dimorphic. Females are a stunning steel blue with their easily recognizable tiger-stripped red abdomen. Males (upon maturity) are a brilliant turquoise blue. This is one of the largest and the heaviest avics in the hobby. Females can easily surpass 7 inches. These will go extremely fast! Don't pass these up!
