Liphistius sp. "Khao Luang Big Black" Spider for sale

This species of armored trap door reaches around 3.5" legspan and has a jet black coloration! These hatch very small at about 1/8".

The armored trapdoor spiders (Liphistius genus) are one of the most unique and interesting groups of arachnids in the world!

Liphistius renouned for looking like walking fossils - literally. These look like minature versions of the first spider like fossils we see in the fossile record. They have thick exoskeltons with spines all over their legs and can be anywhere from

This group of spiders uses "trip lines" and trapdoors that are blended in with whatever is on the surface to hunt. When unsuspecting insects pass by thier trapdoors and hit a silk line, they run out (completely out) and run after the prey, tackle it and pull it back to safety.

The colors are also amazing in this group of spiders which range from jet black, to bright orange.

These arachnids also have a very long life span allegely living 50 years!

How we ship live animals:

We ship all live animals using ONLY FedEx Overnight shipping, since it is the fastest and safest way to ship your new pets.

We ship on Tuesdays (for Wednesday arrival) and Wednesdays (for Thursday arrival) and plan shipments on Mondays.

Please make sure to select a FedEx Overnight option at checkout - for "Facility Pickup" or "Home Delivery"!

If your package is over $400 or contains rare/expensive animals we may require you to pick up at your local facility.

**Please remember that "Overnight Shipping" only means that your animal will spend overnight in the box; it does not mean your package shipps immediately and will arrive the next day! **

How we measure invertebrates:

We measure tarantulas and spiders in diagonal legspan. This means the distance from the front right to back left leg (or vise versa) when the animal is stretched out.

Cenitpedes we measure the full length of the animal from the antennae to the back legs

Scorpions we typically measure the body-length of the animal.

Cage Requirements

Choose an enclosure at least twice the tarantula's leg span in width, depth, and height. Ensure proper ventilation to prevent condensation and provide a hide to help your pet feel secure.

Diet & Water

Feed your invertebrates crickets, roaches, or mealworms—we primarily use crickets and recommend feeding weekly. Provide a textured, shallow water dish as a drinking source, ensuring it's just water (no sugar, sponges, or additives).

Temperature & Humidity

Keep invertebrates at room temperature (65°F-75°F) and maintain humidity using soil. The soil should be damp but not saturated, resembling the texture and color of coffee grounds.

Soil & Plants

We use organic coconut fiber for our tarantulas because it resists mold and holds humidity well. For bioactive enclosures, choose nutrient-rich soil, ensuring it is free from insecticides and pests.
