Powder Orange Cream Isopod (Porcellionoides pruinosus)

This amazing fast producing isopod is the orange pied color form of the Powder Blue isopod (Porcellionoides pruinosus). 

This gene is similar to recessive genes seen in other animals like reptiles and is actually two genes being expressed: the orange mutation and the pied muation.

The Porcellionoides pruinosus is a very fast producing tropical species that loves warmer terperatures and that has larger broods of up to 50 at a time (thats alot of babies!). 

The babies can hatch around the size of spring tails, but they grow very fast especially in temperatures above 75°F. 

This species is suited well for cleanup crews in bioactive terrariums due to their pretty coloration, resillience and ability to reproduce easily, keeping up with your terrarium's cleanup needs. 

The softer shell on the Porcellionoides pruinosus also makes these isopods one of the best for feeders for small reptiles and invertebrates (like tarantulas).
