Cyriopagopus sp. 'Valhalla', Omothymus sp. 'Valhalla' (Emerald Shadow Tree Spider) for sale

Cyriopagopus sp. Valhalla, Valhalla Tarantula, Emerald Shadow Tarantula, Omothymus valhalla for sale

This legendary species has taken the hobby by storm since its introduction in 2018-19!

Featuring a larger size of around 7"+, adults of this species have jet black legs and abdomen, with an emerald green valhalla and long orange hairs all over the body.

We have grown many spiderlings to adulthood and our females are getting darker and more green with every molt even at 6"! This is one of those delayed gratification species but trust us, its worth the wait!

This species is also sexually dimorphic and mature males will turn a solid emerald green all over the legs carapace and abdomen!

Spiderlings of this sepcies will be darker with longer orange hairs and as they grow they lighten in color, keeping darker stripes on the abdomen and the orange hairs.

Males will continue to lighten and get more green until they are bright emerald green in their ultimate molt. Females will darken until they are a deep black coloration!

This species was called Cyriopagopus sp. Valhalla in the beginning, but are much more similar to Omothymus which is the reason for the recent renaming of this species.

Whatever you would like to call them, expect adults to look as gorgeous as the females in these photos. There is not really anything like them in the hobby!

These are some of the most impressive animals in our breeder collection and definitley a species I plan to always have around!

Please make sure to select a FedEx Overnight option at checkout - for "Facility Pickup" or "Home Delivery"!

If your package is over $400 or contains rare/expensive animals we may require you to pick up at your local facility.

**Please remember that "Overnight Shipping" only means that your animal will spend overnight in the box; it does not mean your package shipps immediately and will arrive the next day! **

How we measure invertebrates:

We measure tarantulas and spiders in diagonal legspan. This means the distance from the front right to back left leg (or vise versa) when the animal is stretched out.

Cenitpedes we measure the full length of the animal from the antennae to the back legs

Scorpions we typically measure the body-length of the animal.

Size
Cage Requirements

Choose an enclosure at least twice the tarantula's leg span in width, depth, and height. Ensure proper ventilation to prevent condensation and provide a hide to help your pet feel secure.

Diet & Water

Feed your invertebrates crickets, roaches, or mealworms—we primarily use crickets and recommend feeding weekly. Provide a textured, shallow water dish as a drinking source, ensuring it's just water (no sugar, sponges, or additives).

Temperature & Humidity

Keep invertebrates at room temperature (65°F-75°F) and maintain humidity using soil. The soil should be damp but not saturated, resembling the texture and color of coffee grounds.

Soil & Plants

We use organic coconut fiber for our tarantulas because it resists mold and holds humidity well. For bioactive enclosures, choose nutrient-rich soil, ensuring it is free from insecticides and pests.
