Phormingochilus sp "Sabah Red" (Crimson Purple Tree Tiger Tarantula) for sale

We FINALLY produced this amazing species! - These are from our production!

The ever elusive Phormingochilus sp. Sabah Red. This has been a cornerstone species for many hobbyists since is very limited availability in the tarantula hobby globally.

There is only a handuful of people working with these worldwide, and we were so happy to be able to grab some to share with all of you.

This species stays smaller around 5" compared to the other giants in the same genus, and it gets a gorgeous red coloration over all of the legs, with a beige carapace and femurs that are blue-green. As juveniles the carapace can be green as well depending on lighting.

Breeding Success Story by William:

This is a STUNNING crimson red arboreal species with purple undertones and it is SO EXCITING that we produced these in house!

I have been raising babies of this species for 4 years and trying to find males. We only got 4 slings initiatlly and ended up with ONE female and this is HER! - The mother that produced this eggsack!

Really this photo is turned down in person these are so red and under a good light you can catch the purple undertones you see here!

If you love Asian arboreals you do NOT want to miss this stunning species I suspect will be harder to find in the coming years!

How we ship live animals:

We ship all live animals using ONLY FedEx Overnight shipping, since it is the fastest and safest way to ship your new pets.

We ship on Tuesdays (for Wednesday arrival) and Wednesdays (for Thursday arrival) and plan shipments on Mondays.

Please make sure to select a FedEx Overnight option at checkout - for "Facility Pickup" or "Home Delivery"!

If your package is over $400 or contains rare/expensive animals we may require you to pick up at your local facility.

**Please remember that "Overnight Shipping" only means that your animal will spend overnight in the box; it does not mean your package shipps immediately and will arrive the next day! **

How we measure invertebrates:

We measure tarantulas and spiders in diagonal legspan. This means the distance from the front right to back left leg (or vise versa) when the animal is stretched out.

Cenitpedes we measure the full length of the animal from the antennae to the back legs

Scorpions we typically measure the body-length of the animal.

Cage Requirements

Choose an enclosure at least twice the tarantula's leg span in width, depth, and height. Ensure proper ventilation to prevent condensation and provide a hide to help your pet feel secure.

Diet & Water

Feed your invertebrates crickets, roaches, or mealworms—we primarily use crickets and recommend feeding weekly. Provide a textured, shallow water dish as a drinking source, ensuring it's just water (no sugar, sponges, or additives).

Temperature & Humidity

Keep invertebrates at room temperature (65°F-75°F) and maintain humidity using soil. The soil should be damp but not saturated, resembling the texture and color of coffee grounds.

Soil & Plants

We use organic coconut fiber for our tarantulas because it resists mold and holds humidity well. For bioactive enclosures, choose nutrient-rich soil, ensuring it is free from insecticides and pests.
