A gorgeous and underrated species, Homoeomma peruvianum features velvety black body tones with subtle pinkish to reddish hues on the legs—especially striking under natural light. Native to the highlands of Peru, this species is adapted to cooler temperatures and does well in moderate humidity setups.

Generally calm and skittish rather than defensive, it makes a great display animal with occasional visibility. Though still somewhat uncommon in the hobby, it’s gaining popularity for its unique coloration and easy care requirements.
