The females of this species (depicted) have purple femurs, while the males of this species are solid purple on the carapace, and legs!
This is the "True" insignis! The colombian insignis is not only the actual described species of insignis, but also the only version that holds the purple as the female (unlike the Ecuadorian counterpart).
