FEDEX FACILITY PICKUP ONLY
This mantis has been well known for its wide backplate even in its early stages resembling a shield.
This mantis species reaches about 3.5-4" max size and has a beautifully colored underside to help them scare away preditors!
These are active hunters and like to ear large prey like adult crickets or cockroaches.
These you cannot keep communally.
Care:
We recommend 32oz deli cups with the ventilation lids - what most people use for fruit flies - to start them in.
When they are larger you will want to put them in a 12x12x18 cage either screen or exoterra.
Add 2" of coconut fiber, a cork bark, stick or something for them to climb on.
They will need to be misted and fed twice a week with fruit flies or 1/8-1/2" crickets.
We recommend as fine of a mist that you can provide so they can drink the water droplets off the side of the cage.
It is an option to feed them with tongs and fresh killed crickets if you just cannot find the perfect size cricket and do not want to deal with flies.
